Photo Gallery | Hog and Hominy named outstanding restaurant by national magazine

A restaurant that popped up in East Memphis less than a year ago is already gaining national attention.

Just about everything at Hog and Homniy from the pork to the Bocce courts attracted GQ Magazine food writer Alan Richman.

"I mean Southern and Italian," Richman wrote. "An all-new, totally delightful fusion cuisine. Restaurants are rarely this original or this much fun."

The restaurant was opened by the owners of Andrew Michael Italian Kitchen. The owners share on Hog and Hominy's website that by growing up in big Italian families, they learned at an early age the importance of family gatherings, great wine and, spectacular meals.

Also, that the restaurant works to emphasize southern heritage in every aspect of Hog & Hominy.
