Victory University baseball team hosts open tryouts | Sports & Recreation

Ever wanted a shot to play college baseball? Victory University is having a pair of open tryouts for the Eagle Baseball team for anyone interested in making the 2012-2013 roster.

The first tryout will be Thursday, May 17 at Gagliano Field at Halle City Park (2590 Mount Moriah Road, Memphis, TN 38115), and the second tryout will be Wednesday, May 30. Workouts are open to all 2012 High School Seniors and Junior College players finished with their baseball seasons.

Registration starts at 3 p.m. on May 17, with tryouts beginning at 3:30 p.m. On May 30, tryouts will begin at noon.

Everyone hoping to participate must have a recent physical within the past school year. Participants need to bring their own equipment, and if they bring their own bat, it needs to be a new Bat Ball Coefficient of Restitution (BBCOR) baseball bat as required by all of amateur baseball.
