“Knock Your Socks Off” to showcase child-designed socks | Community Spirit

Each year, V.K. Nagrani, of the Ovadafut Hosiery Company, puts his creative talents to work to create a meaningful design that captures the essence of Big Brothers Big Sisters with a percentage of the proceeds going directly to support the programs of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Memphis.

This time, BBBSGM and Nagrani asked the children to submit a design for the sock. The response was overwhelming and the three children-designed socks will be available for purchase starting October 29, 2011, exclusively at Oak Hall.

V. K. Nagrani started the Ovadafut Hosiery Company in 1999 with a very simple goal: to create superior products that exceed one’s expectations. V. K. Nagrani collaborates with world-class craftsmen to bring innovative luxury accessories to an elite group of 95 men’s specialty boutiques throughout the world.

The sock will also premiere at the Halloween Retro & Vintage Trunk Show to be held on Saturday, October 29, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Oak Hall, 6150 Poplar Avenue. A percentage of the proceeds from the sock and all vendors at the show will be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Memphis.
