Groundhog Day could mean free eats at Chick-fil-A

It could be a double dose of good news Groundhog Day morning, if the groundhog predicts an early spring.

If the groundhog doesn't see his shadow, customers won't have to pay for a spicy chicken biscuit at Memphis and North Mississippi area Chick-fil-A restaurants.

The giveaway will be Wednesday, Feb. 2.

A portion of all sales from the Groundhog Day giveaway will be donated to MIFA.

Dining With Monkeys: Los Picosos

Dining With Monkeys: Los Picosos

Our first restaurant meal of the New Year was at Los Picosos on Summer. Yes, it's in the old school Taco Bell building that was most recently known as Taqueria Garibaldi. I was really digging Taqueria Garibaldi. Before that, it was El Torito. Maybe third time's a charm?

Dining With Monkeys: River Oaks

Dining With Monkeys: River Oaks

River Oaks is another place that I've always wanted to take the monkeys (Satchel, 8, and Jiro, 6) to, but haven't. When I found out that they were open for lunch (starting at 11 a.m. Monday through Friday), I decided to take them over the holiday break. Since Warren and I were off on New Year's Eve and the monkeys had plans without us that night (!!), it seemed like the perfect way to end the year.

Dining With Monkey’s: Ching's Hot Wings

Dining With Monkey’s: Ching's Hot Wings

A few Saturdays ago, we ventured out to Ching's Hot Wings on Getwell. I'd heard a lot about it, but had never been before. I have a very serious chicken wing addiction, so I needed to check it out. I'll admit that when we pulled up, I was a little worried that it might not be a great place to take the kids, but once inside, everyone was all smiles and very cool.
