Go Green Service project hopes to bring more people to Memphis
News

(WMC-TV)- Young people from around the country who work at local companies for the summer will come together to help clean up Shelby Farms for a good cause. These people are not only helping out the community by cleaning up but they are helping out with the hopes of bringing more people to Memphis.

The Summer Experience, will take to Shelby Farms Conservancy on Friday morning for the Go Green Service Project, sponsored by ServiceMaster. This is an initiative designed to encourage college interns and graduate students to launch their careers in Memphis.

This “Go Green Service Project” is in its fourth year and has nearly 500 participants representing 84 companies, 97 hometowns and 93 colleges and universities

On June 15, organizers hope this event will help to give these interns a personal connection in our community’s future. The event is part of a series of 10 events that inspire affection and appreciation for Memphis.
