MATA riders may want to attend a series of public meetings next month when the transit authority unveils potential changes to its services and routes.
In order to compile its Short Range Transit Plan, MATA has been studying changes since the beginning of the year that could improve service, said Alison Burton, director of marketing and customer service for MATA.
“Our study team has taken that information and compiled some changes we believe will help MATA be of better service to those who currently use our services, as well as attract others who may not,” said Burton
MATA leaders say it’s important to hear what the transit authority’s riders have to say about the potential changes and that’s why they plan to hold four public meetings around the city between November 7 and November 10.
“We need them, along with others, to continue to assist us as we near the completion of this study,” said Burton. “This is our opportunity to transform public transportation in this city.”
