River Oaks wins national honor for wine | News
Mid-south customers already adore its atmosphere, French-American cuisine and the master chef who created it.
Now the nation will know River Oaks for its wine selection and service.
Wine Spectator magazine awarded River Oaks, 5871 Poplar Ave., its Award of Excellence, showcased in its August issue. Master Chef Jose Gutierrez and his wife, sommelier Colleen DePete, offer more than 300 selections by the bottle and 75 by the glass.
"We are thrilled to be recognized by Wine Spectator for our wine program and look forward to continuing to offer our patrons the best wines that will pair perfectly with our cuisine," DePete said.
Aug. 6, the Restaurant Scorecard honored River Oaks as our Project Green Fork Restaurant of the Month for its commitment to local food sources, Mid-South farms and environmentally sustainable practices.
