Al Gore to visit Memphis for book signing

Former vice president and #1 New York Times bestselling author Al Gore will be in Memphis to discuss his new book The Future.

He will stop by The Booksellers at Laurelwood Feb. 18.

Random House spokesperson Michelle Jasmine said that the new book is An Inconvenient Truth for everything — and that it's a frank and clear-eyed assessment of the emerging forces that are reshaping our world and will continue to do so in the decades to come.

"With the same passion he brought to the challenge of climate change, and with his decades of experience on the frontlines of global policy, Al Gore surveys our planet’s beclouded horizon and offers a sober, learned, and ultimately hopeful forecast in the visionary tradition of Alvin Toffler’s Future Shock and John Nais-bitt’s Megatrends," said Jasmine in a press release.

Along with serving as the 45th vice president of the United States , Gore is a former U.S. Representative and Senator from Tennessee.

Gore spends the majority of his time as chairman of The Climate Reality Project, a non-profit focused on solutions to the climate crisis.
