First Tee of Memphis prepares for annual Fairways Dinner | Events

A group aimed at helping give Mid-South youth “a swing in the right direction” is  hosting a dinner at the Memphis Botanic Garden on January 26.

This is the fourth year The First Tee of Memphis has held the Fairways Dinner.

During the dinner, the group will honor TPC Southwind with the Loren Roberts Award.

According to a press release from the First Tee of Memphis, the award is named after Senior PGA Tour Professional Loren Roberts for his service and dedication to the program.

The event will help the First Tee of Memphis raise funds for their program.

The First Tee of Memphis serves 200 youth from Memphis and Shelby County who wouldn’t normally be exposed to the game of golf.

The reception and silent auction will start at 5:30 p.m. The dinner and award program will follow at 6:30 pm. Loren Roberts is schedule to attend the awards ceremony.
