Memphis Botanic Garden celebrates 'Bird Month' | Environment

Ornithologists will be found a-plenty during February in Memphis, as this month is "Bird Month."

The Memphis Botanic Gardens is joining in the month-long celebration of our feathered friends, and giving you opportunities to learn about them and even win a prize or two if you’re lucky.

Participants will be shown how to identify birds right in their own backyards, can submit data to the Great Backyard Bird Count.

Change your perspective on the fowl of the air with classes in photography, gardening and art.  There will also be a bird photography contest, with prizes as well.
