  • WYPL Book Talk taping, WYPL Studios, Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library, 3030 Poplar, 2 pm.  Radio producer Stephen Usery interviews John Jeremiah Sullivan (Pulphead). The public is invited to attend.

  • Author visit from Warren St. John (Outcasts United), Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library, 3030 Poplar, 5:30 pm. Outcasts United is the story of refugee soccer team. The book is a recent Commercial Appeal serial. St. John’s visit is sponsored by the Commercial Appeal and Facing History and Ourselves.

  • Global Lens Film Series: The Light Thief (Svet-Ake), Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library, 3030 Poplar, 6 pm. Directed by Aktan Arym Kubat. Children 17 and younger admitted with a guardian.
