Shelby County driver service centers to merge

To provide more service to Shelby County, the state is merging together two driver service centers.

The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security announced the express center on Walnut Grove will merge with the full-service center on East Shelby Drive.

The Walnut Grove center's last day of service will be Friday, February 15.

The merger will allow the department to fully staff the Shelby Driver center.

Dress For Success Memphis will recognize “Women of Courage” in the Memphis Community.

According to a press release from the organization Mid-South Food Bank President and CEO Estella Mayhue-Greer and Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vice President and Director of Federal Express Corporation Cathy Ross are this year’s honorees.

“Let your love make a difference” is this year’s luncheon theme. The organization is encouraging guests to wear red dresses or pants and hats.
