New thrift store stays busy in East Memphis | Business
Those that frequent the Kirby and Quince area might have noticed signs advertising a new thrift store. Blues City Thrift has been staying busy since they opened in March.
The store is located at 6685 Quince in the Southeast corner of the Kirby Gate East shopping center. They are open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Everything that is in the store comes from donations. Click here to read more about what types of items you can donate.
Proceeds from the sales are used to hire workers that may find it difficult to find jobs. The profits are used to fund local faith-based charities.
These charities help Memphis families and children. The three charities that benefit from Blues City Thrift are The Church Health Center, Youth Leadership of Memphis, and the Westminster Academy tuition assistance program.
