Local film to premier at local theater | Arts & Culture
(WMC-TV) - The city is preparing to roll out the red carpet for one of its own. A movie made in Memphis called “The Romance of Loneliness” will debut in September.
The movie is the third feature film by Memphis company Paper Moon Films and is the lead debut for local musician Amy LaVere.
Other movies from this company include Open Five which won Best Narrative Feature in 2010 by Indie Memphis and Pilgrim Song which received the Oxford American Best Southern Film award in 2012 from the Little Rock Film Festival.
This newest film will premiere in Memphis on September 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the Malco Paradiso with a special concert by local independent musicians Deering & Down.
