Botanic Garden plans Teddy Bear Picnic

The Memphis Botanic Garden is planning a Teddy Bear Picnic this Saturday from 11am to 2pm.

Each child in attendance will build and take home a cuddly stuffed friend and plant a soon-to-bloom teddy bear sunflower seedling to take home.

Children can also explore a bear's world in the bear cave, take a teddy bear hunt, and dress up like a beekeeper to see where bees make honey, courtesy of Peace Bee Farm.

And you can take in old "friends" for a teddy bear check-up and the doctor will mend small boo-boos.
