Green Teams: Engaging Employees in Sustainability

The following came from greenbiz.com

Today, as green becomes more mainstream, a growing number of employees want to work for a company committed to sustainability and seek a work setting where the green practices they value at home are being implemented at the office.

Green teams are self organized, grassroots and cross functional groups of employees who voluntarily come together to educate, inspire and empower employees around sustainability. They identify and implement specific solutions to help their organization operate in a more environmentally sustainable fashion.

Shootout ends in morning crash at Poplar & Kirby

Memphis Police say a shootout lead to a one car crash at Poplar & Kirby this morning.  This picture shows you what it looked like around 8:30am this morning.  Police from Germantown and Memphis responded to the scene, taping the area off with police tape.

Investigators say it all started at Club Visions at 3684 Ridgeway.  Two groups of guys got into an argument while leaving the club.  A 26-year-old man and two passengers left the club in a Trans Am.  They told police they were chased by three guys in a Jaguar.

Investigators say during the chase shots were fired.  The 26-year-old driver of the Trans Am was shot in the face.  Police say that's when he and his passengers returned fire and began chasing the Jag to get tag numbers.

The driver of the Jaguar wrecked out at Poplar and Kirby shortly after 4am.  All three people in the Jag bailed out of the car and ran.  P
